Hennis Joins Vibra Hospital, Shares Passion for Elevating Critical Care with Community

Vibra Healthcare proudly introduces Tamra Hennis, MBA, MSW, BSN, as the newly appointed chief executive officer of Vibra Hospital of Charleston. With a distinguished background in critical care, Hennis brings a wealth of experience and a passion for clinical excellence to the role. Having excelled in both case management and operations leadership, she is superbly positioned to lead the hospital in fulfilling its mission of addressing the critical care needs of the greater Charleston community and helping patients advance their recovery.

As CEO, Hennis will provide operational and strategic leadership of the critical care hospital located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Also known as a long-term acute care hospital, Vibra Hospital of Charleston is a 59-bed hospital catering to individuals who require extended periods of hospitalization to manage conditions such as respiratory failure, including ventilator management and weaning, sepsis and infectious diseases, neurological conditions, traumatic injuries, multi-organ dysfunction, serious wounds, and other medically complex illnesses and injuries.

Hennis, who previously served as a case management director at Vibra Healthcare, expressed her enthusiasm for returning to the company and for her role. “I am thrilled to rejoin Vibra,” she remarked. “I deeply value the supportive, family atmosphere and leadership’s commitment to employees. Hennis holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Winston Salem State University, a Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Hennis’s passions extend to the world of animals, particularly her two beloved Basenji dogs, whom she enjoys training. She’s also a strong advocate for fitness and weightlifting activities. After living in California for several years, Hennis is thrilled to be back on the East Coast, closer to her family and eager to embrace new opportunities in her role as CEO.
